Dr. Gibbs graduated from Freed-Hardeman University with a BS in biology and a minor in chemistry, and later, a Master of Ministry degree. In 2015. Dr. Gibbs received his Ph.D. in Veterinary Medical Science with a concentration in infectious diseases from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been employed as a microbiologist with the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Division on the campus of Oregon State University
